Meet Our Leaders

Ellie Hans
Ellie is an accredited La Leche League Leader since 2021. Ellie lives in Lambertville NJ with her husband, young daughter, and their two cats. Ellie first learned about LLL from her mom, who attended meetings with her in Michigan in the early 80s, and she was delighted to find a local group when her own daughter was born. Ellie currently works full-time as an attorney, but she has been passionate about helping moms and babies since she served as a community health volunteer with the Peace Corps in West Africa after college. As a LLL leader, Ellie loves being able to support breastfeeding moms through the challenges of the early days with a new baby, as well as returning to work, pumping, and breastfeeding an older baby. In her personal time, Ellie enjoys being active outdoors, exploring new places, and spending time with family and friends.

Maya Ashley
Maya is an accredited La Leche League Leader since 2020.  Maya currently lives in Watchung with her daughter and another little one on the way. Looking for breastfeeding support and other parents to connect with, she began attending La Leche League meetings. The tools, tips, and genuine conversations made there were irreplaceable, and now as a Leader, Maya hopes to help new families in the same way. Maya is also a pre & postnatal yoga teacher and birth and postpartum doula, so she is especially passionate about mother care. Maya loves spending time outdoors with her family, traveling, gardening, cooking, reading and practicing yoga.

Emily Rathyen
Emily is an accredited La Leche League Leader since 2019.  Emily is a Jersey girl through and through and was born and raised here. She lives in Hillsborough with her husband and two daughters. She attended her first LLL meeting when her oldest daughter was a few months old in 2015. After struggling in the beginning of her breastfeeding relationship, she realized how important support is to breastfeeding families and has enjoyed supporting other parents in their breastfeeding relationships. She loves encouraging parents at the very beginning of their breastfeeding journey and throughout. Emily is a certified massage therapist seeing clients on a very part time basis, but she is primarily a stay at home mom for now. In her free time, she likes to read, explore the great outdoors with her husband and two girls, and crochet.

Kim Emerick
Kim is an accredited La Leche Leader since 2019. Following many struggles as a new mom, Kim realized her passion for helping other moms overcome hurdles, especially with breastfeeding. Between her personal experience and professional background in healthcare, she has a particular interest in helping first time moms, working through tongue/lip tie problems, and troubleshooting any problems that may crop up. Kim lives in Lewes, Delaware with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys reading, running, skiing, and, whenever life allows, traveling with her family.

Alana Dambrot
Alana is an accredited La Leche League Leader since 2018.  Her involvement in LLL began with her first daughter in 2006 and shortly after, she decided she wanted to be more involved with this unique organization that has given her tremendous support in her breastfeeding and parenting journey.  Life continued to unfold with two more daughters, two dogs, and a very busy husband.  Over the course of 12 years, Alana has continued to learn and enjoy various breastfeeding and parenting experiences that have made her want to help others even more.  Before she left her full-time career to stay at home with her children, Alana was a marketing research consultant.  She enjoys volunteering at her children’s schools, running, cooking, learning, and exploring the world with her family.

Jessica Marshall
Jessica is an accredited La Leche League Leader since 2017. Originally (and always) a New Yorker, Jessica now lives in Bridgewater with her husband, daughter, and beagle. She currently works full time in the medical education field, and particularly enjoys helping nursing and working families navigate the world of pumping. In her down time, she enjoys reading, running (very sporadically), yoga (also sporadically), exploring new foods (not sporadically) and going to local events and attractions with her family.

Allyson Sandak
Allyson is an accredited La Leche League Leader since 2014. Originally from Staten Island, NY, she now lives in Belle Mead with her partner, two young daughters and two dogs. Her experiences as a nursing mom who worked full time with one child and as a stay at home mom with another have fueled her passion to support all families on their unique breastfeeding journeys. Building on her professional experience in the health education field, she enjoys helping parents develop confidence in themselves and learn to trust their bodies and babies. If she’s not volunteering at her children’s schools, going to concerts or spending time with friends and family, she can most likely be found exploring local hiking and bike trails.

Danielle Hotra
Danielle Hotra is an accredited La Leche League Leader since 2015.  She lives in Long Hill Township with her husband and three children with another bundle of joy expected in September 2018.  When not playing the role of professional unpaid chauffeur, she enjoys reading, being active outside, and volunteering at her children’s schools and with The Seeing Eye.  She has a passion for helping first time breastfeeding families, families managing oversupply, and digging deep to find answers in complicated nursing situations.

Dana Lauducci
Dana is an accredited La Leche League Leader since 2011. She grew up in Connecticut and worked in corporate consulting before the arrival of her children. She lives in Branchburg with her husband and two teenage sons.
